Pet Peeve #2

This one has the tendency to cause great strife.

Tardiness.

Here is my mantra...

If you're early, you're on time.
If you're on time, you're late.
And if you're late, you might as well not even show up!

And yes Becky, this even applies to picnics and informal social gatherings!!!

Our company's president started this motto for us:

"Early is On Time. On Time is Late."

People are always late to meetings, which holds everyone else up. Our VP actually locks the doors when it's time for a meeting to start. If you're not there early, you don't get to come.

With kids, though, it seems near impossible to even be on time! It's often a cause for great frustration! Perhaps we can be on time for church today!

I like your president!

And I doubt your ability to be on time to church with you are blogging on Sunday morning!

We went to second service this week, so we were successful! I know what you're thinking...2nd service WAS intentional... but it is why I had time to blog!
Hey Rob, your blog made me laugh, but Jayson says the same exact thing about being early is on time, being onetime ETC.... I don't know if it's a man's thing, but I know my father in law is the same way too, but i thought I would share!! Thanks for blogging bout that!

Rob, I totally agree, but there is also an inverse, which is true. While early may never be late, it can be rude. My pet peeve is when folks show up too early for certain things, which can be rude to the host.

Good call Brian. Yes, maybe I need to add a phrase.... I will work on that. Here is the deal though, the attendee should be early, but should not actually knock until the actual time. Sometimes arriving early (work appointments) is required, sometimes arriving exactly on time is required (social gatherings). Nothing worse than an early arrival on my home!

Don't ever move to central America. You'd go nuts.
