My Car...

My car has been giving us a lot of problems lately.  Well, mostly the same problem and we've been putting off getting it checked out.  Usually after it sits over night or for a long period of time, it's very hard to start it.  It just doesn't want to turn over and you have to gun the gas pedal a few times.  Rob is very good at getting it started by hitting the gas.  He just has that "touch."  Me, not so much.  I'm deathly afraid to flood the engine.  Anyway, Tuesday morning I could not get it started.  Rob had gone out about a half hour before when he left for work and started it just to make sure I would have no problems.  Of course, when I went to start it, it wouldn't work.  I was on my way to women's Bible study at church and had been pumping up Drew all morning about going to church (they do preschool stuff with the kids and he loves it.)  So of course he's sobbing in the back seat because the car won't start and I'm telling him we have to get out of the car (I'm sweating at this point because there's no air conditioning when you can't start the car.)  I just prayed to stay calm and that I'd be able to get to Bible study, even if I was late.

Rob to the rescue.  He came home from work, was able to get the car started (it wasn't easy) and we drove it straight to the repair shop.  We were able to get to church about 45 minutes late, but Drew had a blast (Tessa, too) and I enjoyed some grown-up Bible study time.

Can I tell you how happy I am that we've found a great place to get our car fixed?  It's a hole in the wall, but it's close and reasonably priced.  Turns out it was just the battery and terminals.  We were afraid it would be the starter or alternator (which means a lot more $).  We are so thankful it wasn't some major problem.  Thank You, Lord!  I was also thanking Him for a great husband who left work to get me the car so I could go to my Bible study.   If you live in Lehigh Acres and need a good repairman,  we have a good recommendation!
