Jacob slept on a Rock...

This past Sunday afternoon, I asked Drew what he learned at church.  After a pause, he said Jacob.  I asked what Jacob did, and he said he slept on a rock.  Becky and I kind of looked at each other realizing that he was slightly confused.  Well, he was right.  We just found his Sunday School paper, and sure enough, part of the story was that Jacob used a rock as a pillow.

Genesis 28:11 "When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep."

Shows you how much we know about the Bible.

Funny what our 2 year old is teaching us.

Of course he knew what he learned - he's been anointed by God to understand the scriptures! Being his "Mom-Mom" I am a bit partial - but isn't it interesting how pure a child's understanding can be when he has no hindrances of everyday life to distract him. If he's paying attention at 2 years old - how much more should we in our faith? "The Kingdom of God is at hand" and Drew is getting ready to be a "migthy warrior" in his generation - even if he doesn't know it yet. Praise God for the faith of a child!
